    Job ID: 1847 Alternate Locations: Mexico-Coahuila-Acuna Reports To: Sr. ERA Manager The Associate Manager Automation is responsible for planning, organizing, and management of the plant's overall Product and Manufacturing digitalization activities to support manufacturing operations as well as managing all maintenance related responsibilities for the Motors area. Provides the necessary technical direction to improve productivity, process/product improvement and reduction of overall product cost, while meeting production schedules and Quality. Also serves as liaison between Design Engineering and plant's manufacturing team. Projects include but are not limited to New Products Introduction, Layouts, Automation, Cost Savings, and Compliance to Standards. Responsibilities: Supervise product, process, plant, manufacturing, assembly, and engineering projects to improve process capabilities, drive down cost, and improve manufacturing capabilities using Ignition, MES, OT Network. Support annual budget preparation through the development of capital projects/expenditures. Support all departments with improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Flex Productivity through capital expenditures, process check documentation, process improvements, design improvements, manufacturing recommendations and capacity improvements.Coordinate manufacturing engineering functional communication among resources to ensure cost, quality, and delivery objectives are met (internal, external, sales/marketing, engineering, design, etc.). Led Maintenance department management (Facilities and equipment) control of operational statistics (OEE, over time, lost time generated by equipment's, preventive maintenance on time), inventory control of spare parts, control and elaboration of maintenance budget. Led all new product trial and pilot run activities and all internal projects implementation such as facilities improvement, new process start-up, continuous improvement action items execution Qualifications: 7 - 12 years of relevant experience using Fanuc Robotics, Allen Bradley PLC, Ignition. Machine Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the tool shop, area created to perform preventive and corrective maintenance for the injection molding tools, ensuring efficient production, quality, and a safe work environment, this position leads a team of machinists, manage resources, and implement processes to meet production goals and customer needs. With his background in metal processes, this leadership position supports the implementation of metal stamping improvement initiatives and productivity projects. Responsibilities: 1. Leadership and Team Management: - Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of machinists and other shop personnel. - Planning and Scheduling: Skill in planning, scheduling, and coordinating shop operations to meet production goals. - Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical and operational issues effectively. 2. Practical Experience: - Industry Experience: Years of experience in a machine shop environment, ideally with some supervisory or management experience. - Continuous Improvement: Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices. - Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols in a manufacturing setting. 3. Budget Management: - Develop and manage the machine shop department budget. - Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. 5. Collaboration: - Collaborate with other departments, including production, maintenance, and quality, to ensure seamless operations. - Work closely with senior management to align engineering initiatives with overall business objectives. 6. Safety Compliance: - Ensure engineering activities comply with safety regulations and guidelines of SEAL. - Implement and promote a strong safety culture within the technical team.
