Job Description

The MX / CO / EC E-Commerce Merchandising Manager is responsible for running, growing, and optimizing digital sales in Mexico, Colombia, and Ecuador by creating the best customer offer on-site and through all communication channels.

This position is based in Mexico City within our Customer Activation & Marketing function.  The position reports to our MX / CO / EC E-Commerce Manager and has the following direct reports: E-Commerce Category Leads and Site Merchandisers

 

Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:

Site Merchandising and Commercial Planning

  • Establish overall site and concept-specific strategies to drive short and long-term sales for the E-Commerce channel
  • Act as the "Store Manager" of the hm.com website, securing conversion and a frictionless shopping experience throughout the entire customer journey.  Use web analytics to identify topline trends and customer group patterns
  • Take ownership of topline commercial planning for the MX / CO / EC, partnering with the E-Commerce Manager and other team members to analyze sales development and take necessary actions to drive net selling/customer base growth
  • Ensure that the site across touchpoints and all media channels supports and reflects topline commercial and customer-centric vision
  • Partner with MX / CO / EC CX Ops Manager to maintain product presentation that is commercially engaging to most valuable customer segments.  Drive traffic, conversion, and sales in a customized and personalized way by leveraging segmentation capabilities onsite and across communication channels
  • Work with Regional Testing & Web Optimization Analyst to secure strategic overview of A/B testing initiatives.  Optimize conversion and make decisions that positively impact business
  • Share weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPI reports with MX sales market organization
  • Stay up to date on fashion trends and competitive e-commerce and digital marketing innovations
Leadership and Collaboration

  • Partner with CA&M and key Omni Sales Team functions to secure an optimal and seamless customer experience throughout all steps of the customer journey
  • Partner with Customer Service and Customer Insights & Engagement teams to analyze and react to customer behavior, customer base development, and VOC insights
  • Collaborate with Media team to communicate key messages and highlight compelling products across all media channels.  Help to optimize paid spend by pinpointing conversion and AOV-driving strategies based on customer behavior
  • Partner with Regional Head of Digital Development to influence global and local Business Tech teams to prioritize new site functionalities and innovations that can improve customer experience, drive conversion, and maintain competitiveness in market
  • Manage, lead, and develop E-Commerce Merchandising team to drive sales, profit, and a holistic customer experience.  Support team members in creating and implementing customer-centric commercial plan per customer group
  • Set best practices and ways of working to enable strong collaboration and partnership within the Merchandising team and with other functions
  • Partner with external vendor to execute strategy, deals and general offers on H&M site for CO and EC and drive overall improvements to customer site experience

Qualifications

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Spanish & English fluency required
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent years of work experience
  • 7+ years of E-Commerce, Retail, or Merchandising experience required
  • Strong knowledge of H&M Retail and E-Commerce environment
  • Solid leadership experience within e-commerce and retail
  • Sales driven, customer-focused, and results-oriented
  • Proven ability to achieve results working both strategically and operationally
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate customer and sales insights into short and long-term commercial actions.  Experience using Google Analytics, PowerBI, and Tableau (or similar tools)
  • Ability to lead effectively and create results in a highly complex environment
  • Proven leadership skills and previous staff responsibility: you lead by our Global Leadership Expectations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently and be self-motivated while still working within a team environment and fostering a strong team collaboration
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to determine key priorities
  • Ability to secure and retain top talent through focused training, development, and strong succession planning
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changes based on changing business and customer needs
  • Required domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time
